How to Revive Fossils - Pokemon Red and Blue

Image result for pokemon red and blue

Firstly, you can collect either the Helix Fossil or the Dome Fossil from Mt. Moon from a Scientist, this is part of story, it cannot be missed. You can also get the Old Amber from Pewter City Museum.

Secondly, you need to travel to Cinnabar Island, then head to the Pokemon Lab in the South-West of the Island. You then need to go into the Testing Room on the far right.

You can hand a fossil over to the Scientist in the north of the room. He will take and revive it. You will have to go for a short walk before it is done; what that means you have to leave the building and come back to the Scientist.

The Helix Fossil contains Omanyte, which evolves into Omastar.
Based off of a Ammonite, it was a prehistoric Pokemon which swam through the water, eating plankton. It died out because its heavy shell made it impossible to catch prey.

The Dome Fossil contains Kabuto, which evolves into Kabutops.
Based off of a Eurypterid, Kabuto scavenged the ocean floors for food. When it evolved into Kabutops, it was a perfect predator, slashing its prey and drain the body of it fluids

The Old Amber contains Aerodactyl.
Based off of a Rhamphorhynchoid,  it was a ferocious, prehistoric predator which attacked from above and attack its prey's throat with its serrated saw-like fangs.

All fossils are given to the player it Level 30, with Kabuto and Omanyte evolving at Level 40.
