Black Knight (Nathan Garrett) is unlocked by collecting the Black Knight (Dane Whitman), buying Dane Whitman automatically unlocks Nathan Garrett for free.
Once you have unlocked Nathan Garrett, you need to defeat 30 enemies.
This is a reference to the quote "'Tis but a scratch", from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The line is said by the Black Knight after accidentally cutting off his own limbs while trying to intimidate King Arthur.
