Elite Four Champion: Blue - Rival
Blue has six Pokemon; but it depends on what your starter is:
If you chose Squirtle - Pidgeot, Alazakam, Rhydon, Arcanine, Gyarados & Venusaur
If you chose Bulbasaur - Pidgeot, Alazakam, Rhydon, Gyarados, Exeggutor & Charizard
If you chose Charmander - Pidgeot, Alazakam, Rhydon, Exeggutor, Arcanine & Blastoise
Pidgeot
Level: 59
Type: Normal/Flying
Ability: Keen Eye
Attacks: Aerial Ace, Feather Dance, Quick Attack & Whirlwind
Weakness: Ice, Rock & Electric
Strategy: A Solid Ice, Rock or Electric Type is gonna be great here, watch out for Whirlwind as it will force your Pokemon out, switching it with something else.
Alakazam
Level: 57
Type: Psychic
Ability: Synchronize
Attacks: Psychic, Reflect, Future Sight & Recover
Weakness: Ghost & Bug
Strategy: A bulky Ghost or Bug Pokemon, something like Gengar or Venomoth will work well against Alakazam.
Rhydon
Level: 59
Type: Ground/Rock
Ability: Lightning Rod
Attacks: Rock Tomb, Take Down, Earthquake & Scary Face
Weakness: Ice, Ground, Water, Grass & Fighting
Strategy: Both Venusaur & Blastoise work great against Rhydon.
Gyarados
Level: 59 or 61
Type: Water/Psychic
Ability: Intimidate
Attacks: Hydro Pump, Dragon Rage, Bite & Thrash
Weakness: Electric & Rock
Strategy: Same with Lance's Gyarados - A powerful Thunderbolt is gonna take it out easily.
Exeggutor
Level: 59 or 61
Type: Grass/Psychic
Ability: Chlorophyll
Attacks: Sleep Powder, Light Screen, Giga Drain & Egg Bomb
Weakness: Ice, Flying, Bug, Fire & Ghost
Strategy: Exeggutor will give your troubles with Giga Drain & Sleep Powder; it might be worth putting a Chesto Berry on your Pokemon to avoid being put to sleep.
Arcanine
Level: 59 or 61
Type: Fire
Ability: Intimidate
Attacks: Flamethrower, Extreme Speed, Bite & Roar
Weakness: Ground, Rock & Water
Strategy: A solid Earthquake or Surf will work best, watch out for Roar it will force you to switch out. Also Extreme Speed always goes first so what out for that.
Blastoise
Level: 63
Type: Water
Ability: Torrent
Attacks: Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Bite & Skull Bash
Weakness: Electric & Grass
Strategy: If Rain Dance is up, it might be worth putting up a Sunny Day as Blastoise will be weak in the sun, also with Rain Dance, Hydro Pump doesn't have to take a turn to recharge.
Venusaur
Level: 63
Type: Grass/Poison
Ability: Overgrow
Attacks: Solar Beam, Synthesis, Sunny Day & Growth
Weakness: Psychic, Flying, Ice & Fire
Strategy: If Sunny Day is up, it might be worth putting up a Rain Dance as Venusaur as Sunny Day allows Solar Beam to hit straight away rather than waiting a turn to charge up, also Synthesis work half as well when it's raining.
Charizard
Level: 63
Type: Fire/Flying
Ability: Blaze
Attacks: Fire Blast, Aerial Ace, Slash & Fire Spin
Weakness: Electric, Rock & Rock
Strategy: Fire Spin will trap you in in a blazing tornado which is annoying. Also with Charizard can hit hard with Fire Blast but will be forced to rest the next turn.
Once you defeat Blue, you get to put your Team in the Kanto Hall of Fame.
