The Battle Chateau - Pokemon X and Y

On the far side of Route 7, there is the Battle Chateau.

The first time you go inside you are met by Viola and Grand Duke Hennessy. This is a like the Battle Frontier from earlier games but you have a change to win more money this way.

You battle against Ranked Players with ranks of nobility, ranging from;

Baron/Baroness, Viscount/Viscountess, Earl/Countress, Marquis/Marchioness, Duke/Duchess & Grand Duke/Grand Duchess.

After each encounter you are giving a number of points. The points allow you to battle higher and higher ranked players.

Baron/Baroness Trainers have Level 15 Pokemon

Viscount/Viscountess Trainers have Level 20 Pokemon

Earl/Countesses Trainers have Level 25 Pokemon

Marquis/Marchioness Trainers have Level 35 Pokemon

Dukes/Duchess Trainers have Level 45 Pokemon

At the Duke/Duchess Level Players you can also battle Gym Leaders with Level 40 Pokemon

Once you have the Grand Duke/Grand Duchess Rank you can also battle Gym Leaders with Level 45 Pokemon and the Elite Four with Level 50 Pokemon.

As your rank increases you can buy Writs - which give you buffs;

Allowed to visit more offend,

Increase Winnings.

Increase Pokemon Levels.

Also you get to win Prices;

Pearls, Stardust, Big Pearls, Star Pieces, Nuggets, Pearl Strings, Big Nuggets and a Comet Shard - These can all be sold for high prices.
