First you need to complete the 4 Templar Hunt Missions and collect their keys.
After you have done this you can sail for Great Inagua and make your way up to the Manor on top of the hill. In the Main Room with all the Pirate Treasure Chests scattered around room you can find the locked up Templar Armour. You can unlock the locks with the Templar Keys to collect the Armour.
The Templar Armour boosts defense when wearing it, as it looks badass.
