Halo
Wars 2 is the top-down twin-sticker troop company sequel, taking
place right after Halo 5: Guardians. You take command of the Spirit
of Fire Crew who have just awaken from cryosleep, the ship has been
left stranded above the Ark. The UNSC Spirit of Fire receives a
signal from the Ark, in return Captain James Cutter sends down
Spartan Red Team, to look for the source of the signal. Spartan Red
Team find a large group of Brutes and Elites called The Banished,
lead by Brute Chieftain Atriox. Captain Cutter needs stop The
Banished from using the Ark for no good, and destroy the Covenant
Attackers. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a great fan of the Halo
Wars Series but this game was pretty good, no where as good as Halo
Reach or Halo 3: ODST, but pretty good. The combat relied on you know
and remember what enemy is weak to what weapon; also you being able
to command your troops effectively. Loose too many soldiers, and you
will be overrun by the Covenant Forces.
Retelling
the true story of Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon. It
starts off in 1961, with Neil Armstrong flying the X-15 Rocket Plane
being able to recover from an inadvertently bounce off of the
atmosphere. Later showing the story of Project Gemini and later
Project Apollo. The film also shows the struggles that his wife,
Janet, has to endure, having the constant fear that Neil have never
return home due to a engineering or intergalactic problem. Her
justified thinking is proven right when multiple astronauts don't
return home to their wife and children. But the men where
continuously pushed by pressure from the government and the opposing
Soviet Union goals being broken. The cinematography is extremely well
done, with the silence in some of the scenes and the expert eye for
detail is incredible. Actual clips from the Moon Landing were used as
well as remastered footage of the Saturn V Launch. Ryan Gosling's
portrayal of Neil Armstrong was amazing and gripping throughout the
film, predicted Oscar winner for his performance. 9.5/10
Following
the story of Eddie Brock, he is a reporter assigned the task of
interviewing Carlton Drake about his rocket program, but instead,
Eddie interviews him about the health sector which is taking
advantage of homeless people; which gets him fired. Later Eddie is
contacted by a doctor from the Life Foundation, telling him that
Carlton Drake is using alien symbiotes on homeless people, which
kills the host. Eddie Brock breaks into the facility and finds an
alien symbiote, which bonds to him and controls Eddie, forcing him to
feed upon people. The symbiote, revealing his name to be Venom, needs
Eddie to survive but in return Venom protects Eddie from dying. Later
Carlton bonds his another symbiote called Riot. Venom and Eddie have
to work together to stop Carlton and Riot, stopping Carlton's plans
to go back to the Symbiotes' home planet and bring back multiple
Symbiotes so that they can feast upon the human population. Not sure
why the critics hated the film, because my mates and I really enjoyed
it. Venom was portrayed really well, compared to Spider-Man 3's
Venom... Tom Hardy is a likeable character, playing Eddie Brock,
making us feel for his righteous wrong-doings. Solid 8/10.
